TWD: ceci n'est pas un turd: Chocolate Chunkers
These are the last of the TWD cookies for a while- hallelujah! I must admit, it's my favorite of the bunch. Actually, these cookies are fantastic. They make up in flavor what they lack in appearance. For real, they are not the most attractive of cookies. They look like, well, turds. But they are soooooo yummy. They should be with 3 types of chocolate! There is not much dry ingredients in these and a healthy dose of melted chocolate, which makes for a brownie like flavor studded with semisweet and milk chocolate chips, plus chopped toasted pecans and raisins. YUM. I had to give these away so I wouldn't eat them.

HAHAHAHA!!!!!! Ceci n'est pas un turd, that's the most hilarious thing I've heard in a very long time. Anyone who makes an art reference is tops in my book.

I saw the title and it really made me laugh, I saw the picture of these on 'a whisk and a spoon' so I totally know what you mean! I sooo have to make these!

You're right, they're definitely not pretty. But they are pretty dangerous to have around! It's all I can do to keep myself out of the freezer.

I hid mine in the freezer. Actually, they're so rich that I don't think I could eat more than one or two at a time anyway (she tells herself while attempting to keep a straight face...).
Yes, these cookies have been my favorite out of the past TwD cookies. They may not look the greatest but the chocolate makes up for it!

Ha! I remember a bunch of people commiserating on the TWD site about turd-like cookies. Sometimes you've just got to close your eyes and eat them, right?
Yes, these were ugly but good (come to think of it, there's an Italian cookie with that name...Brutti ma Buoni...maybe these should take over the title!)
