I tried with this recipe. I really did. I have to admit, it had some strange directions. "put dough in a gallon size plastic bag, roll 1/4 inch thick, chill in bag." I know there are many TWD-ers out there who loved the way these cookies tasted, and got some beautiful results. I, however, am not one of them. My cookies filled the bag all the way and still, apparently, were not thin enough. And they just didn't look pretty. The taste was okay, just not as buttery and delicate as I expected. Oh well, you live and you learn.
This week's recipe was chose by Jayne of The Barefoot Kitchen Witch. Head on over to check out the recipe.

10 bites:
I'm sorry you didn't like them -- they were a hit at my house. Better luck next week!
Sorry these were disappointing, but it's fun to have tried them!
Aaah, well, way to be a trooper anyway. There's always next week!
Mine didn't get lacy, but they were short-bready and had a good flavor.
Oh that's too bad that you didn't love them. I ate them all up rapidly. My hips will feel it too. There's always next week.
Sorry you weren't a fan! I hope next week goes better for you!
Well they look gorgeous! I liked these cookies more than I thought I would. I keep nibbling at them LOL
Ah, sorry you didn't care for them. They are almost all gone at my house (and would be if I hadn't hidden them while I am gone). At least your tried them. Good job.
Look pretty?? Look at mine!! At least yours are square-ish and still have the holes. Mine look like horrible round cookies haha Sorry to hear you weren't crazy about these, but that's what the group is about, experimenting, no?
Can't like them all, I guess. I used the bag trick, but my dough was definitely more than 1/4 " thick, even at the stated dimensions. They turned out fine anyway, especially the brown ones.
