On the TWD website, a lot of people were complaining about the eggy taste, although these people also claim to not like flan. I didn't have a problem with it. In fact, it was nice and light, with a cool, smooth flavor. I think it would be awesome to try it with a lemony sugar bruléed on top, or a lemon syrup, poured over flan-style.

Ooh...a lemony sugar bruleed on top sounds like it could be yummy. I'm glad you liked the custard.
I thought about a sugar-bruleed topping as well - I think it really would have made this so much better.
Glad you enjoyed it! A little texture would have made a lot of difference in this dessert.
Maybe some extra lemon extract?
How funny! I was thinking the same thing about Lemon Creme Brulee! How awesome would that be?!
I actually loved this recipe. I did put extra zest and extract to heighten the lemon flavor. It just tasted very good.
Fantastic job once again!
I passed on this because I was out of the country, although if I were home, I would have attempted. I'm kinda glad I skipped because I don't know how I feel about eggy. It's been forever since I've had flan, and I think I like it, but eh. Plus I love lemon, so knowing it wasn't too lemony will help me prepare for the disappointment.
I love the lemon sugar brulee idea! I have some left, maybe I will try that!
Mmm.. a lemon syrup and some lemony whipped cream would be great!
Hahah lemon kissed! Love that description! I think the lemon sugar bruleed on top is a fantastic idea!
ACtually, several bruleed their custard and liked it. I liked the light lemon 'kiss'.
The lemon-sugar brulee sounds really good. I just did a regular, non-lemony brulee and I liked it. I liked the contrast in textures. But you're right, lemon-kissed is a more accurate description.
Yum! This looks delicious!
